this is a mixtape that i did last year around August. basically it's a collection of music that i was exposed to as a child while growing up in Detroit. my mother ALWAYS had music by Donald Byrd and Bobbi Humphrey bumpin at the crib and then my father influenced me to listen to other artists such as The Rance Allen Group, Gary Bartz, The Blackbyrds, etc. what does that have to do with this mix? well, they were all produced by Larry & Fonce Mizell. if you need to read up on who these guys are, go to Wikipedia lol. trust me, this is REALLY GOOD MUSIC. lotta recognizable sample material plus you can play this around your parents and they'll be guaranteed to respond with "see, this that good music right chea". and once i add my greasy mitten touch to it, it's an instant classic!!!
